Junior Public Health Microbiologist
Salary range: $1408-1712 biweekly
- Duties: Train to perform public health microbiology procedures and prepare for the state
certification exam - Qualifications: Possession of a bachelor's degree in microbiology or closely related field with courses in medical microbiology and immunology and a letter of training approval from Laboratory Field Services, California Dept. of Health Services. Public Health Microbiologist
Salary range: $1921-2335 biweekly
- Duties: Perform public health microbiology procedures including virology, serology, bacteriology, mycology, and parasitology exams.
- Qualifications: Possession of a bachelor's degree and a California Public Health Microbiologist Certificate

- Senior Public Health Microbiologist
- Salary range: $2329-2568 biweekly
- Duties: Serve as general supervisor of a section in the laboratory, perform testing and consultation, train staff, and maintain a strong quality assurance program
- Qualifications: (1) Possession of a bachelor's degree and a California Public Health Microbiologist Certificate and (2) 3 or more years performing highly complex microbiology tests in a clinical laboratory or 2 or more years of performing highly complex microbiology tests in a public health laboratory.
