Monday, September 21st - Partner’s Day, followed by Corporate Partner’s Reception
Tuesday, September 22nd - Symposium Day (6-7CEUs) and Exhibits
Wednesday, September 23rd - CAPHLD Business Meeting
The attendance of all California Public Health Laboratory Directors, managers, supervisors and
partners is hereby requested. During the meeting, important topics impacting California public health laboratories may be discussed, such as new regulations, technologies, funding and training opportunities. Directors who are unable to attend are highly encouraged to send a representative from their laboratory. Per CAPHLD bylaws, if a representative other than the lab director is attending, this individual may vote at the business meeting as long as the Secretary -Treasurer (Kristina Hsieh) is informed prior to the meeting by email (khsieh@smcgov.org). Additionally, CAPHLD annual dues must be paid in full by September 23rd to vote at the CAPHLD Business Meeting.
Registration for regular attendees is $400 for the entire meeting or $140/day. Lunch will be provided for all attendees on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, a hors d'oeuvre reception will be hosted on Monday evening.
Room reservations can be made directly with Embassy Suites, San Luis Obispo by calling 1-805-549-0800 and mentioning “CAPHLD Annual Institute” or at the website: CAPHLD Annual Institute 2026. Please make your reservations no later than August 20, 2026. A limited number of rooms are available, so please make your reservation as early as possible. Room rates are $163.00 per night (plus tax). If you make your reservation by phone, please mention that you are attending the CAPHLD meeting to get the negotiated room rate. Additionally, daily parking rates are $17/vehicle.
