Under general direction of the Director of the Public Health Laboratory, the Public Health Microbiologist I/II performs microbiological and related public health laboratory examinations and related work as required. The Public Health Microbiologist I/II is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and for test results reporting on clinical and environmental specimens.
Candidate must be willing to work with infectious material and may be required to be immunized against various communicable diseases including Sars-CoV-2 and rabies.
