The Infection Prevention (IP)/Outbreak Response Public Health Nurse position is a temporary, 12-month, position within the Outbreak Prevention and Response and Worksite Exposure (OWE) Unit. The OWE Unit is part of the Disease Containment Branch of the City’s Emergency Operations Center that is activated to respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The IP Public Health Nurse will primarily respond to COVID-19 worksite exposures providing guidance and mitigating COVID-19 disease spread. In addition, the PHN collaborates with medical providers, community-based organizations, departmental and other City staff; provides guidance to medical providers and community; and performs other related functions as needed.
