Job Description
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist uses extensive knowledge to independently perform high complexity laboratory analytical procedures on blood, body fluids, and public health investigation related samples. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the technical accuracy, instrument operation, quality control, and result reporting per established policies and procedures. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is accountable to ensure timely and accurate results are reported to the appropriate public health staff and physicians in a courteous and professional manner. Some support tasks will be required to maintain laboratory operations and may include specimen collection, sample handling, specimen preparation, information system procedures, customer support, and common clerical duties. Proven track record of producing accurate results and maintaining excellence in quality in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work with self-discipline, good judgement and independence. Technical excellence and attention to quality detail.
